Revelation 16:19 is over looked by the WTBT$. "And the great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: ( past tense)and Babylon the Great was remembered in the sight of God,( current tense) to give her the cup of the wine of the anger of his wrath". NWT. Notice he progression of these events, first the cities fall, then Babylon the Great. Think about it. My thought is this, both are destroyed at the same time by God. If the U.N. destroys Babylon the Great before God destroys the cities ( Nations) then why would God even remember Babylon the Great if she has already been destroyed by the U.N.? If you look at the U.N. charter, they are about peace, and If the U.N.is going to destroy religion as the WTBT$ states then riddle me this? Why is the WTBT$ a member of the U.N. as a NGO? Magotan: Your story was very touching. My brother in-law killed himself because he could not deal with being gay and having the family shun him. I hate to admit this, but the mind controll also affected my attitude tword him, which I have now come to greatly despise. Christ set NO conditions on love. A destructive mind controll cult that callls its self Jehovahs witnesses does set conditions.

Crazy JW chaperon Stories

i can remember one time in particular from when i was a teenager that still makes me laugh today.. when i was younger i used to go out in service on a regular basis during the week when i had summer break.
one time when i met for service there were only two other people that showed up.

My wife and I totally embarrassed my elder cousin and the man named John when they came to investigate our apostasy. The story goes like this. Gojira 101 was dating her husband and my cousin elder made us jump through hoops to make sure they were always properly chaperoned. We did EVERYTHING we were told to do.. They get married. Now My cousin Who I will just refer to as "B" (female) starts to date this elder friend of N.E. and I. BTW my wife introduced them. So after only 2 dates which N.E. chaperoned one and I the other. The elder in front on my family including Gojira and her husband says loud and clear. " Chaperones at our age is ridiculous!" After this statement they start to date without chaperones. Now "B" was living with us at that time. These un-chaperoned dates lasted way past midnight and "B" bragged about their parking. At one point they parked in my driveway till 1am. They got married. Now keep in mind N.E. and I pointed this out to John and Elder cousin. and called him a hypocrite, making us jump through hoops while he and "B" kept us up till 1am parking in my driveway. The look on his face was PRICELESS!!!! We added insult to injury when NE said " and that's why Gojira and her husband did not want a shepherding call from you." Stoning sinners to death
by jws_rock inso we've adopted the refusal of blood transfusions given how the bible clearly states it's a sin to reintroduce blood into the body once it has been shed; however, why don't we still stone sinners to death (just the really bad ones) like they did in they did when times were purer?.

jws_rock: Welcome to the board. I do hope I am not going off topic. But if you read more carefully the scripture you quoted at Acts 15: 28-29 there are TWO separate blood issues there!!! Most JWs miss this little point, I know I did for 42 years. I did alot of research on this and the truth of the matter is, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with blood transfusions, since blood transfusions were NOT even conceiveable at this time in History.
James, when HE settled the matter on circumcision had something else in mind when he gave his answer. Both points on this matter have to do with Gods Law ( the 10 commandments) of murder ( not shedding mans blood) and the sanctity of life and pouring out the blood an animal YOU killed. Please refer to: Lev 17:14-16 NWT
For the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said to the sons of Israel: “YOU must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.”
As for any soul that eats a body [already] dead or something torn by a wild beast, whether a native or an alien resident, he must in that case wash his garments and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening; and he must be clean. 16 But if he will not wash them and will not bathe his flesh, he must then answer for his error.’”
Notice an Isrealite could eat an "unbled" already dead animal, since he did not kill the animal there was nothing to pay back to God!!
My question to you is this. Whose life is taken to obtain blood in a blood transfusion? No ones, so there is nothing to pay back to God!! The WTBT$ is mis-applying the scriptures at Acts to control its followers and appear to be MORE enlightened than all other religions. Think about it!
If you really want to have your mind blown, read 1 Cor 8: 1-13. Paul CORRECTS James comments regarding "things sacrificed to idols". have fun with that one.

Aunt fancy: It was simple, I just did not put it in. When I would see the brothers around town and they say the earing, I had a good and reasonable justifcation for having it. You see, I do historical reenactments and I would say it was part of my persona. My avitar is me and my dog Zip. In reality, the ONLY person who said anything negative was my mother she said and I quote " Thats's disgusting". After she got use to it and accepted it was a Conscience matter, ("It's my conscience and yours don't matter" ) she asked what I liked better stud or a ring. I said" I perfer a claw." And boy do I have some. When we moved to where we are now the brothers also did not have any problems with it. NO gossip. Go figure!!

Gordon says, with the exception of the Americanized pronunciation of "hova". I will agree with adamah, and I also stated it to NE when we watched the video he is selling a books.
